Surveyfile Review – Worth It or Not? (What to Expect)

Surveyfile is a website that sells a simple idea: answer surveys and get paid.

It sounds great on paper, and I can’t tell you how many sites I’ve encountered over the years that offer the same thing. So, I have a lot of experience with these types of sites.

Now, the big question is, is it worth it or not?

That’s what you are about to find out in this Surveyfile review. It will show you how the site actually works, what the payout system looks like, and whether it’s worth your time.

What is Surveyfile, and what does it offer?

Surveyfile presents itself as an online survey site where you can supposedly earn by answering surveys. However, that’s not really the case when I tested it.

Option 1 – Paid Surveys

When you log in to the member dashboard, you will immediately see all the surveys available that you can supposedly answer. If you’ve been a member of survey sites before, you would expect that all you have to do is click a survey and start answering questions, which is how it usually works with survey sites.

On most survey sites, you will also have to go through a qualifying process to get to the actual survey. If you get disqualified, you just move on to the next survey available.

Then, when you complete the survey, you will earn the reward that was promised. However, with Surveyfile, it’s a bit different. What was shown in the video was that when you click a survey, it takes you to a different browser tab that will show some kind of ad.

Then, you’ll have to follow all the instructions to claim the reward that you can supposedly get. But now, months after first testing the site first, it’s a bit different.

Now, when you click a survey, all that will happen is usually that you will be taken to a certain webpage (which doesn’t even always load). Sometimes, it even prompts my anti-virus software, which is not a good sign. So, it seems like its “earning opportunity” has completely disappeared, and the reward that was promised won’t be added to your account balance.

So, in essence, you won’t earn anything from the surveys you will see inside the site, and it has actually nothing to do with surveys.

Option 2 – Referral Program

The other way you can supposedly earn is through its referral program. The idea is to promote the website by inviting other people to join the site.

As shown in the photo above, it looks like you will be able to earn a significant amount because it is showing you figures in the thousands as the commission you will earn from your referrals. But, in reality, there’s no way you will be able to earn this kind of amount from Surveyfile because the website practically doesn’t offer any opportunities for you to earn.

So, in effect, you won’t receive any commission. Plus, the problem with this opportunity is that it involves promoting the website to other people, and that’s something that I will never do to my friends, and later, you will understand why.

How do you get paid?

The website also makes it look like you can withdraw your earnings conveniently. When you log in to the dashboard, there’s a Wallet section you can click on, where you will supposedly be able to withdraw your earnings.

Then, it will even ask you to go through a KYC (Know Your Customer) process, which I highly recommend you avoid doing. That’s where you will see the supposed payout options you can choose.

Apparently, you can get paid via PayPal, Payoneer, bank transfer, and more. While the site may look like it offers several convenient payout options, what you will suddenly realize is that the website has a ridiculously high payout threshold of $399.

In all my years of testing survey sites, none of the legit ones will have this high a payout threshold. Based on my experience, websites that have this absurdly high payout threshold only mean one thing: they never intend to pay you, which is the intention of Surveyfile, in my opinion.

So, if you are looking for websites that are guaranteed to pay you, I recommend you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.

Red flags you need to be aware of

When I was testing the site, I noticed several red flags. These are also the reasons why Surveyfile is not something I would recommend to other people.

Let me explain what these red flags are, so you will know how to spot them on other websites in the future.

Red flag #1 – The website has bad grammar

Whenever I come across problematic websites, one of the first things I often notice is poor grammar. That’s the same with Surveyfile. Even by just looking at its homepage, I already spotted countless grammatical errors.

Technically speaking, this doesn’t necessarily mean a site is a scam. But when a website doesn’t bother ensuring that the grammar is correct, it’s always a cause for concern because it just shows that they don’t care if you understand the message it is trying to convey to you.

That’s a bad sign because, most of the time, all these sites care about is getting you to do certain things that they can take advantage of, like viewing ads for a certain period. This is why I always avoid websites that use awful grammar.

Red flag #2 – Ridiculously high payout threshold

No legit survey site will implement a ridiculously high payout threshold. Based on my experience, the main reason why dubious sites employ this kind of strategy is to discourage people from even attempting to withdraw their earnings.

Usually, what happens is that after signing up, you attempt to answer some surveys. Then, you find out that the website has a ridiculously high payout threshold. So, what will happen is that you’ll scramble to reach it.

But then, the amount you will earn will just become lower and lower when you get closer to the threshold, making it almost impossible to hit the threshold to withdraw your earnings. And, if, for some miracle, you happen to reach the threshold, you’ll just be presented with another obstacle that will block you from withdrawing your earnings.

Usually, the website will implement some kind of requirement you must meet to withdraw your earnings, like getting a specific number of referrals. In the end, you’ll just give up on trying to withdraw your earnings.

However, for Surveyfile, you will not even see your account balance increase for the tasks you do, which just means you will never even get close to the threshold, no matter how much time you spend.

The worst thing is that you also provided your email address during sign-up, which they can sell to interested parties. So, don’t be surprised if you get promotional emails after signing up as a member of Surveyfile.

Based on my experience, legit survey sites will usually implement a manageable payout threshold ($5 to $20) to ensure that members can easily withdraw their earnings. That way, they can keep logging in to answer surveys because they know that they can easily get paid.

Red flag #3 – Misleading earning potential

Most of the time, dubious websites usually have tempting offers to lure members in. If you look at the homepage, it claims to pay you $4 per answer, which is quite confusing, in my opinion.

If you don’t have any prior experience with survey sites, you would think that this is a pretty good deal since most surveys usually involve several questions.

So, you would think that you could earn a good amount from it, which is why you will attempt to sign up. But then, as explained earlier, you won’t really encounter any opportunities to earn from this website.

And to top it off, most surveys I encountered when I was browsing the website only claimed to pay $0.50 (which is obviously not true). So, even if it did really offer ways to earn, the fact that the amount you can potentially earn is not the same as what was stated on the homepage is already a huge red flag.

Final Verdict

Surveyfile is a survey site that claims to reward you for answering surveys. However, when I tested it, I never encountered any good features, just a few red flags that you need to be wary of.

Let me end this review by summarizing its pros and cons, so you will understand why you should stay away from it.

In case it’s not quite clear yet, I don’t recommend you sign up as a member of Surveyfile. It doesn’t have anything to offer. You will only be wasting your time because you won’t earn anything from it, since the website doesn’t intend to pay you.
