7 Best Honeygain Alternatives (Passive, Legit, and Free)

best honeygain alternatives header

If you don’t already know, Honeygain is a website that offers a passive way to earn money.

All you have to do is set up the software, and you can earn without even lifting a finger.

So, it can be a great option to earn extra cash if you are a bit busy, since it won’t consume your time.

However, there can be good reasons to also consider alternatives, as I will explain in this guide.

It will show you the best Honeygain alternatives to help you find more opportunities to earn extra cash.

And just like Honeygain, these alternatives also offer a passive way of earning. You can even run them together with Honeygain to maximize your earnings.

I will include a brief summary of each alternative, and I will also go over the pros and cons of each option so you will know exactly what to expect before you sign up. That way, you can easily choose which ones are a good fit for you.

And don’t worry, all the sites I will be including in this guide are legit and free to join. So, it won’t cost you anything to join.

Why consider a Honeygain alternative?

Before we talk about the alternatives, let me just make it clear first why I’m making a guide about Honeygain alternatives.

It’s not that I don’t like Honeygain. In fact, I have seen some decent results with Honeygain, and I think it is a great way to earn extra cash passively.

That being said, Honeygain has some limitations depending on the country you live in. So, if you are one of those people who can’t maximize or even use Honeygain, you can go for the alternatives. And that’s the reason for this guide.

I want to show you other ways you can earn passively, just like Honeygain. Plus, as I’ve mentioned earlier, you can use some of these alternatives together with Honeygain so you can earn more.

So even if you already use Honeygain and get good results, you can boost your earnings even more by using some of these alternatives at the same time.

7 best Honeygain alternatives

Just so we’re clear, the alternatives I will be presenting aren’t the only platforms that offer the same kind of earning opportunity as Honeygain.

Instead, these are what I think are worth considering. I’ve personally tested all these platforms and been paid by many of them multiple times, so the information I provide will be based on my experience.

I will continue to update this guide as I discover new platforms that offer similar opportunities to Honeygain. So, make sure to bookmark this page and check on it from time to time.

#1 – Pawns

Pawns used to be called IPRoyal Pawns, but is now just called Pawns. It is, in my opinion, without a doubt the best alternative to Honeygain, and in many ways, it is also a lot better. It will pay you for sharing your internet connection with its clients, and it is very similar to Honeygain in many ways.

But let me just make something clear about the name. If you just go to IPRoyal.com (the company behind it), you won’t be able to sign up as a member.

You have to go to the Pawns registration portal instead. This is the name of their earning platform. After you register, you can then install it on one or several of your devices.

The way their earning opportunity works is almost exactly like Honeygain. First, you have to install the software and set it up. You can install the software on a Mac or Windows computer, but you can also use it on your mobile device.

Then, the software will do all the work for you. It will share your unused internet bandwidth with its clients, and the amount you can earn will depend on the amount of bandwidth you share.

You can get paid via PayPal, Payoneer, or gift cards when you’ve earned at least $5, or you can convert your earnings to Bitcoin and transfer them to your wallet. Pawns also offers you to earn extra by taking paid surveys, and you get a $3 joining bonus just for signing up.

Pawns is, in my opinion, the best Honeygain alternative, and if you want to earn passively by sharing your unused internet, you should check it out.

#2 – GetGrass

GetGrass, or Grass as it is now known, is a great alternative to Honeygain.

It is still fairly new and still developing, so it is not completely clear what the value of your earnings is yet. But they say you can earn around $30 per month by sharing your unused internet.

You can install it as an app or as a browser extension, and it can be an interesting option, but you just need to do it with the right expectations.

You will earn Grass crypto tokens, and you can withdraw them into a Solona wallet. And Grass is already listed on many big exchanges, so it is easy to sell it if you want to, or if you believe in its future, you can hold onto it and wait until it potentially increases further in value. You can also stake it to earn more passively.

You can learn more about it in my full GetGrass review and tutorial here.

#3 – PacketStream

Another platform that offers the same kind of opportunity as Honeygain is called PacketStream. You also have to download their software and set it up before you can earn.

packetstream

The only difference is that their software only works with computers using Mac, Windows, or Linux operating systems. It doesn’t have a mobile version. So, it’s not as versatile as Honeygain, which also works on mobile.

PacketStream pays via PayPal. Once you’ve earned at least $5, you can withdraw your earnings to your PayPal account. This is the only payment method they offer, so before you sign up, make sure you have a verified PayPal account.

PacketStream pays $0.1 per 1 GB of data you share. It’s not as good as the other platforms, but again, it offers an effortless way of earning, and the payout threshold isn’t that high. So overall, it’s still a pretty good way to earn.

#4 – Earnapp

Earnapp is one of the newer platforms that offer you to earn by sharing your unused internet.

The rates it offers are more or less the same as Honeygain, but they will vary from country to country. A great thing Earnapp offers that is a bit different is an auto-redeem feature, so you can set it to automatically pay you. Plus, it is available more or less in all countries.

That way, it can be a truly passive way to earn a bit extra, as you do not even have to log in to the platform to redeem. You can get paid in cash via PayPal or with Amazon gift cards.

#5 – UpRock AI Earnings

UpRock AI Earnings is a mobile app that lets you earn rewards for sharing your unused internet bandwidth. You can also earn through its referral program.

Its earning opportunities will reward you with UpRock tokens (UPT), which is the app’s cryptocurrency. This also means you must withdraw your earnings to any crypto wallet that supports the token.

It is available in most countries where cryptocurrencies are legal. The app works on both Android and iOS devices, so compatibility won't be an issue.

#6 – Traffmonetizer

Traffmonetizer is yet another platform that pays you for sharing your unused internet bandwidth.

It is available on different devices, but if you want to earn from a Mac or iOS device, you need to choose one of the other options on this list.

The earnings per GB you share are more or less the same as Honeygain, but it is not nearly as big, so it does not have as many clients yet, and therefore, it can take more patience to earn, in my experience.

You get a good joining bonus of $5 and can withdraw via TRC20 USDT.

#7 – Mysterium Node

Mysterium Node is a platform that will allow you to sell your unused bandwidth to earn crypto. You can install the software on computers that use Windows, Linux, or macOS operating systems.

Once the software is installed, it will run in the background and sell your unused internet bandwidth to its clients. You will earn Mysterium (MYST), which is the platform’s cryptocurrency. Once you’ve earned 5 MYST, it will be sent automatically to your crypto wallet.

It is available globally, but it can't be used on mobile devices.

Final Thoughts

So, that’s it. These are the best Honeygain alternatives you can join. All these platforms are free to join, so just choose which ones you are interested in and sign up. Then, just download their software and follow the setup process, and you should be good to go.

And as I’ve mentioned earlier, you can use multiple platforms at the same time if you want to maximize your earnings.

I will keep updating this guide if I find more platforms that offer the same kind of earning opportunity as Honeygain. So, make sure to bookmark this page and visit it from time to time.

  1. Do you believe that there are more efficient combinations – for example because of the rates given per data used, you may be better off to use just Peer2Profit rather than PacketStream and as many others at the same time as well?

    • This depends on the country you live in and your connection, so I cannot give an answer to what the exact best combination is.

  2. You didn’t mention how much commission they charge when you withdraw. I just cashed out from honeygain and they charged 15% commission, plus they didn’t pay the bonus of $5 which they promise everyone during signup.

    • The article you are commenting on is about alternatives to Honeygain. If you go to my full Honeygain tutorial, I clearly mention the withdrawal fees.

And if you did not get your joining bonus, you need to contact their support.

    • Do you have any experience with crypto? I have it set to receive the extra 10% and receive my payment in $JMPT tokens. The token value clearly fluctuates, so that needs to be something you are aware of and are OK with. It could spike up or drastically drop. Anyways, I’ve been using this method for some time, if the price drops, just wait for it to go back up – it usually does. You can then convert it on PancakeSwap to BNB, transfer to Binance, and then to your bank account.

As the author mentioned below, contact HoneyGain support about the referral. It should have been in your “honeypot” immediately after you signed up with someone’s referral link. It’s the first set of points that your account has before you start sharing your bandwidth, so to say you didn’t get the referral, I mean, you’re a little late on that one, right?

    • I mention this in the article above. The website does not work anymore and they do not accept new members, but previous members can still earn from it. You can read all about it in the full tutorial I link to in the article above.
