I recently tested a site called Preely because I’m always looking for great ways to earn extra cash online.
It claims you can earn rewards by sharing your opinion and helping companies develop better products and services.
Now, the question is, is it worth it or not?
In this Preely review, I’ll walk you through how it works, what kind of earnings you can realistically expect, the payout process, and whether it’s truly a good use of your time.
By the end, you’ll have the insight you need to decide for yourself if Preely is the right fit for you. So, let’s go ahead and check out Preely, shall we?
What is Preely, and what does it offer?
Preely is primarily a remote user-testing platform that lets you earn by participating in user testing studies. And yes, it is legit since you can really earn rewards from the opportunities it offers.
However, that doesn’t automatically make it a good website to join. To find out if it is worth it, you must first understand how it works. To do so, we have to examine the earning opportunity it offers, so you will have a general idea of how good it is.
So, here’s how to earn from Preely.
The earning opportunity – User testing studies
The only way to earn rewards from Preely is by participating in user testing studies. What happens is that brands and companies upload prototypes (for apps, website mockups, or digital services), and Preely recruits testers to interact with them through user testing studies.

Once you become a member, Preely will match you with a user testing study if there is one available. When that happens, you will receive a notification via email since Preely doesn’t have a member dashboard for its testers.
If you accept the invitation to participate in the study, you’ll be given access to the study. You will also be provided with instructions that you must follow during the user test. Typically, you’ll be asked to navigate through a prototype app or website, find information on a webpage, or try to complete a purchase flow.
Then, you’ll be asked to give feedback via a survey. Once you submit your answers, Preely will check your work. Once they confirm that it’s all good, they will release the reward to you. Later, I will discuss how you will get paid.
Tests usually last between 5 and 20 minutes. That’s including answering multiple-choice questions, recording your thoughts, or rating your experience.
Some tests may require you to speak your thoughts out loud while using a prototype. If you’re comfortable sharing video or audio, you might qualify for more tasks.

How do you get paid?
Whenever you complete a study, Preely will reward you with whatever was stated in the invite. Unfortunately, it doesn’t offer cash rewards. So, if you are looking to earn cash, this isn’t the best option, in my opinion.

All you can earn from Preely are gift cards from Zalando, Wolt, and more. Since it doesn’t have a member dashboard for testers, Preely will send the digital gift card via email every time you complete a study. This means you don’t need to reach a threshold to receive your earnings.
Now, if you prefer to earn cash, I recommend you check out the top sites that pay via PayPal instead.
How much money can you make?
The amount you can earn from Preely will mostly depend on how often you can complete studies and how long the studies are. I will tell you right now that there aren’t a lot of studies available, so earning rewards from them regularly is next to impossible.
As for how much you can earn per study, it will depend on the length and complexity of the study.
Studies that take less than 10 minutes to complete usually only reward you with a $5 (or less) gift card. Studies that take around 15 to 20 minutes will usually reward you with $5 to $10 gift cards, while studies that take longer than that will usually pay around $15 or more.
It’s not exactly the highest-paying user testing site, which is why I would say its earning potential is quite low.
Can you use it on mobile?
Preely sometimes offers studies that will require you to test a mobile app. So, in those cases, you’ll need to use your phone. But, in general, you’ll need to sit in front of a computer to perform usability tests for websites.
And since it doesn’t have a member dashboard, you can log in like most user testing sites, then there’s really no point in using it on mobile unless you have to test mobile apps.
Who can join Preely?
Preely is only available in certain countries, specifically Denmark, Germany, Finland, Norway, and Sweden. It has a specific panel for every country, and it will use the native language of the country. To sign up, you must first provide your email.
Then, you’ll be asked to provide your mobile number to continue with the registration. Preely will send you a code you have to input to proceed. If you don’t like sharing your mobile number, then this is not for you.
After this step, you’ll have to answer a survey that is designed to create your profile. Once you are done with this step, you will officially become a member of its user testing panel. All you have to do is check your email inbox from time to time for study invites.
Can you get support?
If you have questions regarding the platform, you can check out the FAQ section. It discusses some of the basic topics you need to know about Preely.
If you can’t find the answers you need, you can go to its Help Desk page and click the message icon at the lower right-hand corner of the page. Then click the “Send Us a Message” option. Simply fill out the form and hit submit.
Overall, I would say it does provide the minimum required support since it offers a convenient way for you to ask for assistance.
Final Verdict
Preely is a legit user testing site that lets you earn rewards by participating in user testing studies. It has some decent features, but it also has certain drawbacks you need to know.
Let me wrap up this review by summarizing its pros and cons, so you can see a clear overview of what it offers. Then, you can decide if it is truly worth it or not.

Pros:
- No payout threshold

Cons:
- Limited earning opportunities
- Fairly low rewards
- Doesn’t offer cash rewards
In my opinion, Preely is not a bad user testing site. However, it’s not that good either. Its main drawback is that it offers fairly low rewards for a user testing site, so you won’t be able to earn a significant amount from it quickly. Aside from that, all it offers are gift cards as a reward, so if you want to earn cash, this is not your best choice.
But if you live in a country where it is available and you don’t mind earning gift cards, then you can go ahead and sign up for it. Just make sure to temper your expectations a bit in terms of its earning potential.
Now, if you are looking for great ways to earn cash online, I recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites and apps on this list all have good earning potential, so you can earn a decent amount quickly. Most (if not all) of them also offer cash rewards.
Plus, you will definitely find a site or app you can join regardless of where you live.
