Mint Surveys Review: Worth It? (Not For Everyone)

Mint Surveys

The only advantage Mint Surveys offers over other survey sites is it has a disqualification bonus. Apart from that, there’s really nothing special about this survey site.

Mint Surveys claims you can earn rewards by sharing your opinions.

However, there are many platforms that claim this, and many of them do not deliver on their promise.

So, is Mint Surveys legit, or is it a scam?

Let me reveal right away that yes, it is a legit site that will really reward you for sharing your opinion.

But is it worth it?

I have joined and tested it and compared it with the hundreds of other similar sites I have tested, and I will share all my findings in this Mint Surveys review, so you’ll know exactly what to expect before you decide to join.

So, let’s go ahead and examine what this site has to offer, shall we?

What is Mint Surveys, and what does it offer?

Mint Surveys, as the name implies, is a survey site that will reward you for answering surveys. It’s a relatively straightforward site. However, before we proceed, you need to know that this survey site is only for people who live in Australia or New Zealand.

If you are not a resident of any of the countries mentioned above, then there’s no point in reading this review. Then you can check out the best survey sites in other countries instead. But if you are from AU or NZ, let me explain how you will be able to earn from this site so you’ll understand how the site works and if it will be worth it.

So, here’s how you can earn from Mint Surveys.

The earning opportunity – Paid surveys

As I’ve mentioned above, Mint Surveys is a pretty straightforward survey site because you can only earn by answering their paid surveys. Many other survey sites also offer other ways to earn, but with Mint Surveys, if there aren’t any available surveys, you won’t earn anything.

As for their paid surveys, it works just like any other paid survey on a survey site. When you receive an invite for a survey, you will have to go through a pre-qualifying process.

That means you have to answer a set of qualifying questions first so that the site can determine if you are included in the demographic the survey is intended for. If you qualify for the survey, you will then proceed to answer the actual survey.

If you fail to qualify, you will still receive a small compensation (1 point) for the time you spent answering their qualifying questions. Not a lot of survey sites do this. So, it’s actually a good thing, in my opinion.

If you are interested in more survey sites that have a reward structure like this, I would recommend you check out the top survey sites that offer a disqualification bonus.

When you successfully complete a survey, you will receive a certain number of points as a reward. Later on, I will discuss what you can do with the points you’ve earned.

You will not find as many surveys here compared to how many you can find on other survey sites, so, if you decide to join after reading this review, I suggest you also join other sites to get more opportunities.

How do you get paid?

As explained above, you will earn a certain number of points for completing a survey, and you will also earn 1 point if you get disqualified for a survey. But what can you do with the points you’ve earned?

mint surveys reward options
You can only redeem a gift for Coles Group & Myer stores.

Well, you can use them to redeem a Coles Group & Myer gift card. This gift card can be used in any Coles Group & Myer store. To redeem a gift card, you will need to earn at least 200 points. That will be equivalent to a $20 gift card (Australian dollars).

Their threshold is actually quite high compared to other survey sites. So, it may take a long while before you will be able to redeem a gift card. If you prefer a site that will allow you to withdraw your earnings quickly, I would recommend you check out the fastest paying sites instead.

But overall, I would say their payment system is relatively straightforward. The only problem is, as stated, the threshold is quite high. So, you’ll have to wait a long time to withdraw your earnings.

How much money can you make?

Your earnings from a survey site will typically depend on how often you get to complete a survey. And unfortunately, you don’t really have any control over how many survey invites you will receive.

And since Mint Surveys doesn’t offer any other earning opportunity, you will really be at the mercy of the availability of surveys. And based on my experience, Mint Surveys doesn’t have a lot of surveys available.

You can consider yourself lucky if you even get invited to participate in a survey once every two weeks. As for how well the site pays, you will usually be rewarded around 10 to 50 points per survey. That will be worth $1 to $5, which isn’t a bad rate, in my opinion.

But overall, I would still say that Mint Surveys has a low earning potential simply because it doesn’t offer a lot of surveys. So, while it pays a decent amount, it will take a long time before you can actually savor the fruits of your labor, so to speak.

mobile site of mint surveys

Can you use it on mobile?

Mint Surveys doesn’t have a mobile app you can download. And, in my opinion, it’s actually not meant for mobile use since their website isn’t really mobile-friendly.

You will have to zoom in to read all the content properly or even just to navigate the site. That’s why if you prefer convenience and ease of use, I would recommend you only work on this site from your laptop or desktop.

This is actually a big downside, in my opinion. Not all great survey sites have their own mobile app, but most sites are at least optimized for mobile use, so you can answer surveys conveniently from your mobile device.

This is a very important feature, especially in this day and age where a lot of people prefer to do things on their mobile devices instead of in front of their computer.

Who can join Mint Surveys?

As explained at the beginning of this review, Mint Surveys is only available for people who live in New Zealand or Australia. So, if you live somewhere else, then this site is not for you.

Now, if you are interested in more survey sites that are available in Australia, I would suggest you also check out the top survey sites in Australia.

Or, if you live in NZ, you can check out the top survey sites in New Zealand here.

how to sign up on mint surveys
All you need to do to become a member is fill out their registration form.

To sign up as a member, you also have to be at least 18 years of age. Then, you have to fill out their registration form. After that, you will have to provide basic information like your address, phone number, and more.

When you are done setting up your profile, Mint Surveys will send you a confirmation email. You need to click the confirmation link to complete your registration process. The email will also contain your username and password.

You have to use that to log in to their member dashboard for the first time. I would advise you don’t delete that welcome email because then you will still have a copy of your password. That’s because their member dashboard really won’t allow you to change your password. So, you’re stuck with whatever Mint Surveys will generate for you.

That’s the one thing you need to keep in mind if you decide to become a member of this survey site. After you finish the registration process, you will receive a $2 sign-up bonus, which is a decent head start, in my opinion.

Can you get support?

If you have any questions about their site, you can check out their FAQ page. It’s not as comprehensive as you might hope, but it discusses some of the basic topics you need to know about the site.

If you can’t find the answers you are looking for, you can contact their support team by emailing them at support@mintsurveys.com.au. Overall, I would say they have a decent support system in place since you will be able to communicate with their support team.

But, I do wish they would have a more comprehensive FAQ page that would discuss more of the possible questions you might have about the site.

Final Verdict

Mint Surveys is a legit survey site that will reward you for answering their surveys. It has a couple of good features, but it has some drawbacks you need to keep in mind.

Let me end this review with a summary of its pros and cons to give you an overview of what it has to offer. Then, you can decide if this is really worth your time or not.

pros

Pros:

  • Offers a simple way to earn rewards
  • You will still be rewarded even if you are disqualified from their survey
cons

Cons:

  • Limited earning opportunities offered
  • Limited payment options available
  • High payout threshold
  • Their site is not mobile-friendly

The only advantage Mint Surveys offers over other better survey sites is it has a disqualification bonus. Apart from that, there’s really nothing special about this survey site. It has a high payout threshold, and the surveys are few and far between.

So, it will take quite a long time before you can redeem a reward. Plus, it doesn’t offer any cash rewards, which is a huge downside, in my opinion. That’s why I would say this site isn’t really worth joining. You are better off joining other survey sites with better earning potential.

For a list of these sites, I would recommend you check out the top survey and GPT sites in your country instead. The sites on this list all have good earning potential, and most of them offer cash rewards as well.

Plus, you will definitely find a site you can join regardless of where you live.
