Why do paid surveys as a teenager?
If you find the survey sites that allow you to join, if you are between 13-18 years old (see list below), paid surveys and online tasks can be a great way to make some extra money.
The advantage of doing online surveys for teens is that you can do it whenever it fits you and wherever you are – as long as you have an internet connection.
Another great thing about survey sites is that you do not have to have any specific qualifications or training to participate. Everybody can participate as long as you have the age required by the site.
Many survey sites offer rewards in cash whenever you do a survey; others offer points you can exchange for different products or vouchers, and some give you both options. So, depending on what you are interested in, you can join the sites that give you these options.
How do online surveys work?
If you are interested in taking online paid surveys, you can see a list of the best survey sites for teens below.
Read about each of them and select the ones that sound the most interesting to you. You can then sign up for your selected sites through the join button. Once you are a member, you will receive a confirmation email, and after confirming your account, you can start doing surveys.
On most survey sites, you first have to fill out a bit of information about yourself, which will make it easier for the site to match available surveys with you. Some sites will send you an email whenever there is an available survey, while you at other sites have to check the site itself.
Be aware that even though there is an available survey on a site, you might not qualify for it. All surveys have some initial questions to screen who participates in the survey.
If you do not qualify, it has nothing to do with you. It is just because that specific company was interested in answers from a specific group of people that you did not fit into. It can be because of where you live, your interests, or similar reasons.
So do not give up just because there are some surveys you do not qualify for – that is the case for everybody. So just keep trying, and after a while, you will also know what kind of surveys you usually get access to, and then you just focus on these and only try these.
How much can you make on paid surveys as a teenager?
It is difficult to give you an exact answer on how much you can make by doing surveys.
It depends on several different things – for example, the country you live in, how many sites you sign up for, how many surveys you decide to participate in, and if you decide to use some of the other earning opportunities many survey sites have.
Some of the sites on the list below are also known as GPT sites (Get-Paid-To), as they have other opportunities to earn in addition to taking paid surveys like taking offers, playing games, contests, watching videos, etc. If you also use these opportunities, you can really boost your earnings.
To get the most chances to earn, it is a good idea to sign up for several sites. It will be different surveys and offers on the different platforms, and you, therefore, increase the amounts you have access to by joining several sites.
When you are a member of a survey site, you will always be able to see what the reward for a survey is before you decide whether you want to participate in it or not.
You always just choose which surveys you want to take and which ones you do not. There is no requirement for you to do a certain amount of surveys to be a member. Whether you only want to do 1 a day, a couple a week, or all the surveys you can, is up to you.
You can make some nice pocket money by doing surveys if you sign up for the right sites and avoid the scam sites. It is, however, important to know that doing surveys will not make you rich, so do not expect this, as you will then be disappointed.
But if you are doing it to make some extra cash or get some free products and at the same time have your opinion heard, online surveys for teens are a great way to do this.
Be aware that if you are below 18, it is best to check with your parents before signing up for any sites, and some sites on the list also have it as a condition that you need parents' consent. But you can read this in the conditions when signing up.
22 best survey sites for teens (13-18 years)
Below, you can find a list of the best survey sites for teens. There are other sites that allow you to join if you are below 18, but I have created a list of the best ones so you do not have to waste time on poor sites.
Be aware that on some sites, you are required to have consent from your parents/guardian to join if you are below 18.
To get the most chances of earning, it is best to join 6-8 sites, depending on how much time you want to spend on taking surveys. Joining more can be too overwhelming in the beginning, and joining less will give you limited earning opportunities.
Wow, this is really cool. I did not know sites like these exist that provided a way for teenagers to make some extra cash. I have several nieces that would just love this. They are always asking if I know of a way for them to make money on the side… normally I let them do some yard work for me..lol, but now I can tell them about these sites as well, good stuff. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you found the info useful Jen. And hope your nieces will enjoy it if they decide to try it out. Even though yard work is also great:-)

I do agree with what you mentioned above that make sure people sign up with the right survey program and not the scams one.
Due to my own greed when I was still in college, I paid to join survey programs, as that was what the program told me to do, until I found out I have been caught in a scam. But I really had no experience and knowledge about that at that time.
In recent years, I have become more active in doing research on whatever program I join to make sure my money is well spent.
You do a right job in listing all the legit site for teens and I am sure this will definitely benefit them.
Hi Maxx,
Unfortunately there are many online scams and many people end up wasting a lot of money that way. Glad that you find the info here useful, and I hope that it will help people to only find and join the legit survey sites.
Thanks,
Mikael
Good day to you Sir Maxx, I also want to earn in this way, is there also an old man like me who is 47 years old who wants to join this way to earn money, even though I am in another country, Dubai?
You can check the best sites in the UAE here.
I agree that doing paid surveys online is a great way of earning some pocket money. Of course, doing surveys are never going to get someone rich.
However, I am still a little doubtful about doing paid surveys. Is the time spent on doing those surveys worth it?
I heard of a survey website called OpinionWorld. Can you do a review on it?
Whether it is worth the time really depends on the person and the reason for doing surveys. If you join the good sites, it can be a great way to make some extra money on the side. And the list above for example shows the sites that allows teens to join, and there is not a lot of online options for teens, so this can be a great way.
In general, paid surveys should not be done to get a high hourly rate. It should be done to make a bit extra and at the same time you have the chance to have your opinion heard. It should not be done as an attempt to make a living from it.
I have already written a review of OpinionWorld. You can read it here. It can be ok, but I do not have too good experiences with that particular and it is definitely not one of sites that I would highly recommend.
All the best,
Mikael
