Why a low or no minimum payout is important!
Taking surveys can be a great way to make some extra cash on the side. But on some sites, you have to work really hard to get to the payout threshold, or they simply do not offer many opportunities, so it will take you forever to be able to get paid.
This is obviously very annoying – when we take paid surveys, it can, of course, be because we want to have our opinions heard and be able to give feedback, which is an important aspect of surveys.
But at the same time, many of us who take paid surveys also like to earn extra cash, and we do not want to wait months to cash out.
When it takes too long to get to a payout threshold, it is difficult to stay motivated.
Also, the smaller the payout limit is, the quicker you can confirm that you actually can get paid – if you have never joined paid survey sites before, this might be a concern to you, and you want to make sure it is actually possible before spending too much time.
So, in general, it is a great way to stay motivated when we often see a little extra money coming into our account and get paid fast.
Further, in my experience, the survey sites with a low minimum payout are often also the best – they know they have a lot to offer and are not trying to keep people locked for months before paying out.
They will let you take your money out very quickly, and then they also know you will probably keep taking surveys and earn more money, as you can see, it works.
So, for all these reasons, the payout threshold is, in my opinion, important on survey sites – you might have other reasons, and if that is the case, it would be great to hear about them in a comment below the article.
What is a low payout threshold?
How do you define a low payout threshold?
This can definitely vary from person to person. That is why I wanted to make it clear how I have defined a low payout threshold in the list below and what I have taken into consideration when choosing the sites that belong on the list.
I have taken into consideration not only the actual amount you have to earn to cash out, but some survey sites have a very low payout threshold, or even no minimum payout limit, or pay instantly. But if they do not offer many opportunities, it might still not be fast to get your money.
I have considered this, and the sites on the list are platforms with a good amount of opportunities that not only have a low payout minimum but also offer many opportunities that you will be able to cash out quickly.
Many of the sites even offer several ways you can earn, and not only paid surveys – these are called get-paid-to (GPT) sites, as you can get paid for many different small online tasks.
By using some of these other earning methods, you will, in many cases, be able to earn more and get paid faster, so great to make sure to use some of the other earning methods as well.
Some people are mostly interested in survey sites with no minimum payout, as that means you can get paid immediately. However, there is often some kind of threshold. On some sites, it is as low as $1 (or lower), so in my opinion, that is basically the same as not having a minimum payout.
In general, on the list below, you will find survey sites that will make it possible for you to reach the payout threshold within a few days in many cases, and in some cases, within a few hours.
So the limit is between $0-$10. The ones with the lowest minimum are, however, not necessarily placed the highest on the list – as mentioned, I have also taken the total amount of opportunities and the usability of the site into consideration.

The exact opportunities on each site can vary by country, but overall, these are the survey sites that will pay you the fastest. To increase your chances of earning, it is a good idea to join several sites, as they all have different offers.

Hi Mikael. You make some tremendous points of what truly does motivate people to continue participating in survey ventures. That is not only that each survey is interesting and well-written, but more importantly having the opportunity to cash out when the particular site itself has a no-to-low minimum threshold level regarding the money that had been earned.
I still say that the one disadvantage of participating in surveys as a way to make money is that invariably, almost all sites, (except for 2 that I am aware of) have a disqualification process based on an individual fitting the intended demographic of a particular survey. Of course not qualifying results in the panelist earning nothing, and with that coming not one inch closer to meeting the minimum threshold that would allow him/her to claim money that had been earned.
Swag Bucks, in my opinion does remain perhaps the best survey site if you take into consideration the low threshold standards set by the company, the # of surveys available, plus other ventures – watching television, ads, playing video games and etc that are all available. Super Pay Me and Hunter Gift Club were two sites in your top ten that I am not familiar with.

I agree that it is a disadvantage that on most sites you will not be able to qualify for all surveys. On most platforms you will however know after a few seconds, if you qualify for a certain survey or not. But of course it can still be frustrating to keep getting disqualified for some surveys.
I have however found that after using a platform for a while, it is definitely possible to see a pattern about what kind of surveys you are most likely to qualify for, and the ones that you most often do not qualify for, you can then just not even try – that approach has made it a lot more efficient for me to take surveys.

Sometimes the offers and surveys do not credit right away. The rewards for surveys can usually be seen in your account within 24 hours. For offers it can take longer. This is because PrizeRebel needs to have it verified by the company providing the survey or offer before they can credit it.
If you go to your account settings, you can click on earnings history. Here you can see any surveys or offers that are pending and waiting for approval.

A great site on top genuine surveys. I am in such a country where survey sites doesn’t pay much commission. Your explanation on the sites was great. And people like me might get confused seeing so many genuine sites all together. Clicxsense is also a PTC site. Your site is great and keep it up.

ClixSense used to be a PTC site as well, but it is not anymore. They removed that option a while back and it is now mainly a survey site – in my opinion it has made it better, as I am not a big fan of PTC, as it pays so little to click those ads.

Thanks for these great survey sites with low payouts. I’ve heard of a few of them like swagbucks and think it might be a great way to earn some extra cash — but I don’t see it being anything life changing.

Surveys definitely can make some nice extra cash, but you are very right that paid surveys is not a way to become rich.
And yes I have tried the sites myself – I always make sure to test survey sites whenever they are available in my country.
The first 4 on the list (Swagbucks, PrizeRebel, Toluna, ClixSense) are in my opinion really great options, but depending in the country you live in, there are also sites that are just as good.

I am not sure why it takes them so long to verify this time. I have never tried anything like that. The first time I had to verify on Superpay.me and wait a bit longer but not that long. Now I get paid within a few hours after requesting a payout.
So usually you do not have to wait like this. Not sure if it is because of the particular offers and some extra verification they need to make. Superpay.me is quite strict with security.
Their support is usually pretty good though, so you can also write to them and ask.
