#4 Timebucks

What you do
Surveys, videos, ads, social media tasks
Cash out from
$3
Paid via
PayPal · Visa · Crypto +4 more

Timebucks is an interesting and different survey and GPT site. It is available in Malaysia, and what makes the site good is that you can always find ways to earn here, no matter where you live.

Timebucks, of course, offers paid surveys, but it also has many other ways to earn, so if you do not get access to a lot of surveys, make sure to check out some of the other earning methods. You can, for example, earn by watching videos, watching online content, clicking ads, doing social media tasks, watching slideshows, and more.

Some earning methods offer pretty good rewards, while others don’t offer very high rewards. But there will always be earning methods available, so for that reason, it can still be worth being a member of if you are a bit patient.

Timebucks pays out through crypto, Skrill, AirTM, PayPal, or Bank Transfer, and you can get paid once you have reached $3.

#5 ySense

What you do
Surveys, offers, daily bonus
Cash out from
$5 gift cards$10 PayPal
Paid via
PayPal · Payoneer · Skrill +1 more

ySense used to be called ClixSense but has now been rebranded. It is a survey site that is available for more or less all countries, including Malaysia. It gives a good number of daily survey options. Sometimes you have to click several times to find the surveys you qualify for, but it does not take long to check if you qualify for a survey or not.

A great thing about ySense (aka ClixSense) is that it also offers you to earn on tasks through Figure Eight. So even if you do not have many surveys available, these tasks can eventually give you some nice extra earnings. You can also earn by taking offers, and get a daily bonus by performing a certain activity every day.

ySense pays out through PayPal, Payoneer, Skrill, and gift cards. When you can get your earnings depends on your chosen reward, but it starts at $5, which can be reached quickly.

#6 PrizeRebel

What you do
Surveys on the offer wall, videos, apps, contests
Cash out from
$2 gift cards$5 PayPal
Paid via
PayPal · Crypto · Gift cards

PrizeRebel is a great survey site. In Malaysia, it will, however, not give you access to a huge amount of paid surveys, but you will be able to find some through the offer wall. In addition to that, you can earn by watching videos, downloading apps, participating in contests, and more.

If you are only interested in taking surveys and none of the other earning methods, it might not be the right site for you, as you need to use some of the other options to really earn money on PrizeRebel in Malaysia, because of the limited access it gives to surveys here. But if you are interested in this, it is definitely a site worth checking out.

PrizeRebel pays out through PayPal or crypto (which are some of my favorite payment methods on survey sites), or you can choose to get paid with gift cards. You can get paid already when you have earned $5.

#7 Surveyeah Malaysia

What you do
Surveys by email; few for Malaysia
Cash out from
$10
Paid via
PayPal · Amazon gift cards

Surveyeah has a specific survey panel just for Malaysia. It is very easy to use, as you just have to sign up, and then you will receive an email invitation when there is an available survey.

You just need to make sure not to join Surveyeah as the only survey site, as it has quite a limited amount of online surveys for Malaysia. So it takes some patience to gather enough money, but as it is so easy to use and join, it does not take much extra effort and can, therefore, be great to join as an extra site.

You can get paid in cash through PayPal once you have earned $10, or you can get your earnings out in Amazon gift cards.

#8 Triaba Malaysia

What you do
Surveys by email invitation
Cash out from
$6.25PayPal; other methods higher
Paid via
PayPal · Visa Debit · GCodes

Triaba is a very easy-to-use survey site. The only way you can earn here is by taking surveys, but that is the reason it is so easy to get started. It has a separate website for Malaysia. Once you have signed up, you will receive an email when there is a new survey available.

It does not have surveys every day and sometimes not every week. But as an extra site, it can be great to join, as you do not have to log in to the site to check for surveys, but you can just wait for an email invitation.

In Malaysia, Triaba offers PayPal, Visa debit cards, and GCodes as payment methods. The payout threshold depends on your chosen method, but the lowest is for PayPal, where you only need to earn $6.25 to get paid.

Rewards1 is not one of the most well-known GPT sites in Malaysia, but it actually has very good options if you just take the time to learn how to use it properly.

You can earn by taking surveys, watching videos, taking offers, and inviting friends, and the more active you are, the more benefits you get through their membership level system.

You can get your earnings out already when you have earned $5, and get them out via PayPal or choose between A LOT of different gift cards or game codes.

It is not the most effective site to earn in Malaysia, but it is a convenient app to use on the go. You can earn by taking surveys, taking offers, getting bonus badges, watching video trailers, and more.

It has a big selection of rewards, and the payout starts at $5 for Amazon gift cards. For a PayPal payout, you, however, have to earn $10 to get paid, which can take a bit of patience on CashKarma.

How are the opportunities for paid surveys in Malaysia?

How many opportunities you have depends a lot on the country you live in. Malaysia is not one of the countries with the most opportunities, but luckily it still has some really good options.

Big sites accept Malaysia

Several of the big and popular survey sites are available in Malaysia, and some of them even have a platform in Malay, which makes them easier to use.

Not a way to get rich

Paid surveys will not make you rich, so they are not something you can do for a living. You can make some really nice extra cash with the right expectations.

Why Survey Junkie is not on this list

I often get asked if Survey Junkie is available in Malaysia. It is a big and famous site, but it does not accept members from Malaysia. There are plenty of other great sites on the list you can join.

How the 26 sites pay youNumber of sites that offer each payout method. Many sites offer more than one.

Do I need PayPal, and which account do I choose?Asked about 7 times

My answer: A free personal PayPal account is fine. Once the money is in PayPal, you can transfer it to your bank account. Most survey sites have no fee for PayPal payouts, and many also offer other payout methods.

Why do I keep getting screened out of surveys?Asked about 6 times

My answer: There is no way to qualify for all surveys. Not qualifying is a part of taking surveys, and it happens all the time for everyone. It can take some patience to find the types of surveys you mostly qualify for.

Are these sites legit?Asked about 4 times

My answer: All the sites on the list are legit. I have been paid by all of them myself and tested them thoroughly, so I know they work.

Can I make a good income from surveys?Asked about 4 times

My answer: Surveys are one of the easiest ways to start earning online, as there is no cost. But they are not a way to become rich. What you earn depends a lot on the surveys you take and the platforms you join.

How do I join and get started?Asked about 3 times

My answer: Choose the sites you want from the list, click the join button and sign up with your name and email. On some sites you see the surveys right away. On others, you wait for an email invitation.

    • I just checked it, and it is not actually a survey panel where you can earn. They will just promote different panels to you that you then have to join to actually earn. So a waste of time, in my opinion.

  5. Hi, thanks for showing the various surveys that we can participate in Malaysia.

I have a problem here and hope you can help. Most of these surveys are from US and Europe. Usually by the time I noticed the survey in my email ( Malaysian) they have received the number they required. What is the best Malaysian time to do these surveys. Our time is GMT + 8

Examples are Surveoo, Surveyeah, Surveytime, Ipsos, ySense and Metropolitan

But if you want to use PayPal you can just create a free account and transfer the money there. Once you have them in your PayPal account you can then transfer them to your bank account or use them online.

    • Hi Nick,

It depends on how you define a good income. Surveys and get-paid-to sites are one of the easiest ways to start earning money online as you can start earning from day one and there is no cost involved.

But I always make sure to make it clear that it is NOT a way to become rich or make a living. It is a great way to earn some extra money and have your opinion heard, but it should be done with the right expectations – so you can expect to make some extra money on the side but do not do it if your goal is to make a living online.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions.

I just visited your site after a simple search on Google. Nice you have here.
By the way, I am curious about how are you able to know the availability of various paid surveys site in numerous countries since you only stay in one country.

    Best regards.

    • Hi Michael,

Great question. I do a lot of research and testing and I also talk with people from different countries and get feedback from users on my website. In addition to this, I often get in contact with the companies behind and try to get info about the amount of opportunities they have in different countries.

I put in quite a lot of work to put together specific lists as I have seen many other sites just automatically mention any site that is available and they are rarely very useful. I am instead trying to do my best to look into which sites actually offer good opportunities in each country.

But if you have different experiences or opinions about some of the lists I would love to hear about it. Always great to get feedback from visitors to my website.

      Thanks,
      Mikael

Actually what is happening for this, because I have provided my information. They should distribute the right surveys to me right? I’m confused. I’m Malaysian.

      • Not qualifying for surveys will happen on more or less all survey sites and for everyone. It can sometimes take a bit of patience to test the different types of surveys and find the ones you mostly qualify for. Which sites have you used to take surveys on so far?

        Reply
        • I have used toluna, lifepoint, mobrog, your voice, ysense so far. I have filled my profile. But still some of the survey disqualified me after I answer I’m a male. It said I’m not the targeted respondent. They may target female I guest? But they should know I’m male as I completed my profile. Why they still sent me the incompatible survey?

Ysense always ask about which state you live. I gave the right answer but they disqualified me. I wonder what for filling up my profile, because they still don’t know where I live. Distribute me a incompatible survey. Sometimes once I clicked the survey, it straight away disqualified me.

Your voice also got problem. Your voice does sent me the survey. But always asked me to update profile. Once I clicked, it said you have completed the profiles. I clicked the survey in email again. The same thing happens again.

Mobrog does send me survey, but not of the single survey I’m qualified.

Life point and toluna I still trying.

          Can give me suggestions?

          Reply
          • There will always be surveys you do not qualify for. It is not just about whether you are male or female. It is about your profile in general. For example, if there is a survey about meat but I am a vegetarian, I might still be offered it, but after a few questions, it will be clear that they cannot use my feedback for anything and therefore will not qualify. You can check out this article about qualifying for surveys that will explain more.

Also, if there are some sites you have a hard time qualifying for the surveys on, remember that many of them also offer other ways to earn so make sure to use some of these as well.

  13. I want to ask something. I see that most of these sites use paypal as a way to redeem point so I started to think to make paypal acc but then it ask me 2 option, buy with paypal or receive payments with paypal. so for this sites what do I have to choose. I am confused.

    • Hi Intan,

Yes, that can be a bit confusing what to choose as the explanation on the PayPal sign-up page is not very clear.

But you just choose the “buy with PayPal” option. The receive is for businesses that are selling and receiving money through PayPal.

      Hope this helps.

      • i have choose the receive payment one..i still can receive payment from the survey site right? And whats buy with paypal for actually?

        • I am not sure if you can receive from survey sites with that type of account Aiman. I have not tried using that type. I would suggest you to contact PayPal and ask.

The “Buy with PayPal” option is where you as a normal consumer can just receive money to your PayPal account and use the earnings to buy stuff online with your PayPal account or transfer the money to your bank account. The receive payments option is, as far as I understand, mostly for business owners selling services and receiving the payments from their customers.

          Hope this helps.

  15. Hi Guys,

I work at a global market research company in Malaysia. Basically, there’s no right or wrong way to take a survey, only whether you’re the ideal respondent for the survey.

ALL respondents for a survey will go through a “screener” so that the right respondents meets the requirements of the study. For e.g. Pepsi Co would like to know how many middle aged person aged 25-45 buys Pepsi, and if you’re 46 years old, you do not qualify for that survey.

Other than that, the number of required completes (qouta) also affects your “complete” status. This means that if the study requires 150 completes, and while halfway doing the survey somebody else completed the 150th survey successfully, yours will be not necessary.

No survey will ask you to pay upfront for any survey.

    Just my 2 cents… 😉

You choose the survey sites you want to join based on the list above. Then you click the join button and will just have to sign up with name and email.

On some sites, you will then be able to see the available surveys right away, and on others, you have to wait until you receive an email invitation. So make sure to check your inbox and also check the spam folder.

Hope this helps, and if you have any more particular questions then just ask and I will do my best to answer.

I saw some sites saying we will be charged when receiving the payments but not really sure if it is applicable to us. Hope to clear this doubt. Thank you. 🙂

    • Hi Ilavenil,

On most survey sites there is no fee to payout to PayPal. There are a few that has a fee for it, and some has a fee, if you are taking out a small amount, but then it is free if you wait until you have earned a bit more.

So it depends on the particular survey site, but most of them do not charge a fee for it.

Hope this clears your doubt and let me know, if you have any more questions.

    • Thanks for sharing your experiences Fuzz. Sorry to hear you have had this experience. How many surveys have you tried?

There will be surveys you do not qualify for on all survey sites. In my experience it does however happen often on Mobrog, but I am am also often able to take surveys there. I also know many other people have great experiences with it, so it is definitely not a scam since it does pay people, and it does offer paid surveys, as it says it does.

There are just some survey sites that are not a good match, and where you will end up finding it difficult to qualify. This does not necessarily mean it is a scam, but that it is just not working for you, and the there are luckily other great sites that will hopefully work better then.

I do appreciate you sharing your experiences – it is always great to hear about other experiences, and it will help visitors to this website make better choices. So thank you for that. In my experience I would however not say Mobrog is a scam, as it is possible to take surveys there, and they do pay for it, even though it might sometimes be difficult to find the surveys you qualify for.

Yes, it does take lots of patience and effort, and me personally had the same experience; halfway doing the surveys, they will suddenly cut short of the surveys and left you hanging (or cursing, in my case).
But, trust me, patience and effort are the most important. And always check your email for the notification from them.

I am Malaysian. I believe PrizeRebel is not working for us, you may skip this one. Toluna, Mobrog, GTM are all good, I can make USD5- USD10 monthly each.

    • Thank you for the feedback and for sharing your experiences Tiada.

I have just double-checked with the PrizeRebel support, and PrizeRebel DO accept members from Malaysia. The amount of available surveys will be lower than in for example English-speaking countries, as there is less research demand. But you should definitely be able to join and also be able to find some surveys, offers, and tasks there.

I was told that the best chance of finding the available surveys, if you are in Malaysia is to first of all check out the “Daily Surveys” section.

Hope this helps and once again thanks for sharing your experiences.

      All the best,

I have signed up for toluna, clixsense, and prizerebel but I am unable to take or complete any surveys since . Is this Normal? I’m just not able to qualify or take any surveys at all after 2 days or trying .

Is there something I could be doing wrong , any tips ?

    Reply
    • Hi Wayne,

That does sound a bit strange. However, both on ClixSense and PrizeRebel it can take a bit of testing to find the surveys you qualify for. In the beginning I also got rejected a lot, but after testing many of them, I found out what kind of surveys/what survey providers, I had the best chance of qualifying for and which ones I never qualified for, and then I focused on the ones with the best opportunities. I still often do not qualify, but I do not spend much time trying to take the “wrong” surveys anymore.

Another suggestion is also to look into taking the Figure Eight tasks on ClixSense and PrizeRebel – in the long run these can also give some nice extra earnings.

On Toluna I do not really know what the reason can be – you are not using a VPN or are in a different country than where you registered from when registering for the platform are you? Because that can give problems. If that is not the case, I would suggest to give it a try a few more days, and if it is still the same then write Toluna’s official support and ask what is going on.

And feel free to update me here about how it goes. Would be great to hear if you find a solution.

      Hope this helps.

      All the best,
      Mikael

      • Hi Mikael, Thanks for the reply.

The problem I’m facing with prizerebel is everytime I go into the surveys page, I see a bunch of surveys, but when I click on each and everyone of them they redirect me to the page your-surveys.com. Which is just a page stating how to complete a survey and that’s it – nothing happens after that. It doesn’t redirect me to a survey or there is nothing on the page which I can click.

The only thing I can do is press the back button on the browser which brings me back to the surveys page in prizerebel. I’m using an iPad and have had the cookies enabled. I am not using a VPN or any blocking software as well.

        Reply
        • That sounds unusual. Usually I do not have problems like that when taking the YourSurveys offers. I have however not tried on an iPad, but it should not be a problem. YourSurveys can however be a bit strict. I have been blocked by them myself in the past, because I tried to take a survey while being on holiday.

But be aware that in addition to the actual survey section, PrizeRebel also has what is called an offer wall. Here you can find more surveys as well. There should be some there that are not offered through YourSurveys. Maybe some of these will work for you.

Or you can write the PrizeRebel support. Maybe there is a technical issue. They have a good support that usually gets back with solutions quickly. I would also suggest you to look into sites like YouGov and Superpay.me as alternatives to the sites you have already joined. They might give better opportunities for you, as it also very much depends on your specific location/city.

Would be great if you can keep me updated about how it goes with the different sites, as it is great to hear and learn from different experiences.

          Thanks,
          Mikael

        Reply
        • Hi Darshinii,

Most of the times you will not get credited right away. Usually later the same day you should be able to see the points in your account if you were able to complete a survey. If not, then you should write to Toluna’s support and ask them as there then might be a glitch.

There is not as such a way to get more surveys, unfortunately. That is one of the reasons I advice to join more survey sites as you will then get access to more surveys.

          Hope this helps.
